Great achievement is usually born of great sacrifice, and is never the result of selfishness.

And bad mistakes
I've made a few

But I've come through

Amos Law (the dog)

A group of young lads - who have trained their butts off, mind you - with big dreams walk into the world of professional floorball, braving themselves against experienced, big men. The crowd gives their smirk but they still stood tall. Against all odds, the boys matured and became young gentlemen with the spirits of an eaglet ready to spread its wings...
Time -00:00 Mins.
The team warms up together, jogged exactly 2 rounds of the Tampines Sports Hall where in a few minutes time we would face the Phytons. We had a fair share of losses and the only glimpse of hope for a win came from our only draw the previous week. Mr Amir takes out his board. He re-explains the wiping system, our playing strategy, something he has done countless number of times. We brought our 1.5 Litre bottles and towels to the benches. We all prayed we wouldn't screw up, both individually and more so as a team.
Time 01:36 Mins
Call for line-change. Line 2 was to get ready to enter the court. It was now my turn.
Time 01:55 Mins
I received the pass from my fellow defender. Brought it to my favourite left side. The defender gets in position and closes me down. I protect the ball. Haziq is screaming for the pass. The defender plays dirty. I persevere. He was harassing me, I couldn't turn.
I trusted my instincts.
I gave my teammate a back-hand cross.
He was open, We scored.

Line-change.
The play continues. Line 3 concedes a goal.
Somewhere before the referee blows the whistle marking the end of the first sector, our junior D.S.A. player, Hamizan, scores fantastic goal, chopping the ball above the keeper- another goal to give us a slight lead by break-time.

Time 15:06 Mins

My line was forced to come back together as a defense force. The opposition won a free-hit in our half. I was in the top-D/center position ready to launch at the shooter if he receives the ball. I made a fatal mistake: I abandoned my left position, and it was open. Opposition tapped pass the ball and took a direct shot.
We were even - I was down.

Line-change.
Mr Amir gave us a major shelling. I knew it was mainly my fault. I did not apply our main playing strategy. Nevertheless my fellow forwards Aiman and Haziq were supportive. We were keen not to make the same mistake, and we didn't.

The 2nd sector ended shortly after.
In our heads were
"Discipline in shape."
"When defending,
left forward stays left, right forward stays right."
"Centers are guiders."

Time 16:56 Mins

The play was fast. The opponents were tired. Halim and Rusell were outstandingly 'chemistrasised' (if there is such a word). They managed to penetrate the defense. Halim scored a goal.
Line-change.
We were leading again. I was determined not to let them down by making a fool of myself on the court. By now the whole team rallied us on. We were in crunch-time and had only a few minutes left to an ending of what seems to be a victory be we knew it also could be a draw or maybe a loss.
Time 19:10 Mins

I received the ball in the center-court from a clearance. I dribbled forward. The keeper was all ready. I see a gap between him and the near-post. I took the shot - the ball was perfect, until it hit the woodwork and flung out of play. I got a chance and i tried my best. I've redeemed myself, I thought.

Time 19:20 Mins

The referee calls for a time-out. Mr Amir calls us in.
40sec left of the game. Hold on -
that was all we had to do.
Peeeeeeeeet Peeeeeeeeeet Peeeeeeeet!
First win.

And if you're still not feelin' me
